Inventory Optimisation Analyst

Our Inventory Optimization department work to manage and monitor the heartbeat of our distribution operation, ensuring we stay ahead of the supply and demand curb and striving to ensure our customers experience a seamless service. We are looking for an Inventory Optimisation Analyst to join us in this pursuit audit, streamline and develop our dynamic warehouse operation.

About Us

As and Inventory Optimisation Analyst you will providing help and guidance to the Operational Teams by prioritising and responding to new issues, investigating discrepancies and playing a key role in the analysis and reporting of operational activities and stock movements to propel the capability potential of our Distribution Supply Chain Operation. The business will appeal to your expertise to gain insight on our inventory management to fuel informed future decisions. Reporting to the Inventory optimisation Assistant Manager and partnering with your team and the immediate operations management team, you will play a critical role balancing reactive support with continuous improvement initiatives.  

About You

You will be an experienced warehouse professional, with an understanding of how stock moves systematically throughout the Supply Chain, you will be able to discuss how these movements correlate to physical activities as a credible expert. You will have a keen eye for detail and a natural analyst, able to unpick fact, identify discrepancies or potential risk swiftly. You will have experience to working on operational continuous improvements and have technical experience of using SAP and accustomed to building dashboards and reports in Excel to actively manage operational standards, targets, and deliverables.

You will be self-driven to drive your own development and proactively seek out opportunities to improve working practises and processes. You will be accustomed to working to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment, keen to add value back to the business through your own tenacity, curiosity, and resilience.

What to expect

The Inventory Optimisation Analyst will ensure the inventory and quality checking service levels and objectives are met and the result reporting is prepared and published correctly and on time. In addition, the role includes stock management & adjustment, Delivery Error investigations, corrections and resolutions as well as gaining insight on how stock is dispositioned throughout the Supply Chain. You will work with senior management to understand this insight and to develop actions for improvement to increase the efficiency of the picking process throughout the whole Supply Chain.

You will engage and lead continuous improvement project activities as well as reviewing existing processes to deliver optimised operations of their department. Acting as an Integrity Ambassador for all stock movements throughout the internal supply chain and warehousing processes, you will be a role model for the Distribution Operational Teams by actively promoting and demonstrating Harrods standards.
