We are currently looking for a full time Investigator to join our established Investigations Team. Our Investigators detect, prevent, and respond to criminal activity, internal misconduct, and security vulnerabilities — all while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and respect.

About the Role

The role of a Investigator is to conduct thorough investigations into suspected offences, staff misconduct, and customer incidents, working closely with management and law enforcement. This role will include liaising with internal teams and support law enforcement with legal proceedings, when needed. This role will also involve patrolling the store to develop knowledge of the business whilst supporting the business in addressing any offences that may take place.

The role necessitates a 4 day shift pattern (on-site) that may include working at other company premises and includes weekends, night work, bank holidays and public holidays as normal days of work. Additionally, extra hours and/or days of work may be required and/or changed by the department (providing adequate notice).

About You

You will develop your expertise in a range of fields, from fraud investigation and merchandise protection to staff welfare and till investigation – you may be called upon to specialise in one or more areas as required. When a new case arises, you will receive suspects with respect, examine the evidence, conduct any further inquiries, and decide how to resolve each case. You will also gather, prepare, and give evidence at disciplinary procedures if necessary.

You will also:

  • Have up to date knowledge with any legislation that may affect your role.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, working closely with a team of other Investigators.
  • Have strong IT and analytical skills, ability to use different security related software
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Be impressively self-motivated; you will take it upon yourself to identify and improve areas where we might be vulnerable, as well as to train other employees on crime prevention matters.
