We’re currently looking for a Payment Reconciliation Specialist to join our established and knowledgeable Finance team here at Harrods on a fixed term contract for 18 months. Reconciling and investigating payments and fees in relation to Harrods’ payment providers, the Payment Reconciliation Specialist will also coordinate elements of operational liaison with payment partners, monitor the team shared mailboxes, and publish updates on team activity.
 
About the Role
 
The Payment Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for the prompt and accurate reconciliation, investigation, and resolution of balance sheet accounts, validating all monies and deposits have been received correctly. Liaising with operational representatives from Harrods’ payment partners in order to investigate issues and resolve queries, the Payment Reconciliation Specialist will develop strong external relationships in addition to the internal relationships with finance teams to support the overall business.

About You
 
You’ll be diligent in your work, committing high attention to detail to everything you do. You’ll be adaptable, able to manage multiple tasks whilst ensuring standards aren’t compromised. Experience with SAP is preferable, but not essential.
 
You’ll also –

  •  Have prior experience working with payment reconciliations in a finance function
  • Be confident working in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Have intermediate Excel capability (XLOOKUP, PivotTable etc.)
  • Be a problem solver, asking questions and listening effectively
  • Have great organisational skills
  • Be collaborative in your nature and thrive as part of a team, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders alike
