We are recruiting for a Personal Assistant to support our Security Director and Head of Customer Service Experience. The Personal Assistant will provide seamless administrative support, effectively managing diaries by anticipating needs, prioritising key meetings and building flexibility in to the diary as needed. The Personal Assistant will be the main point of contact for stakeholders, developing long lasting relationships within Harrods as well as with our external partners.

About the Role

As a Personal Assistant for the Security Director and Head of Customer Service Experience, you will provide effective diary management as well as book, plan and coordinate all travel arrangements and agendas. You will screen all incoming telephone and email enquiries, responding to or directing them appropriately. You will also be in charge of processing all expenses within company guidelines and timeframes.

This role also entails:

  • Preparing documentation such as letters, reports, presentation decks, agendas and figures for meetings, and co-ordinate any project work.
  • Note taking in meetings as and when required.
  • Conveying a professional image for Harrods at all times, exercising tact and diplomacy in handling a range of situations.
  • Handling sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Working in partnership with other Personal Assistants.

About You

You will be an established Personal Assistant, with experience of providing support to senior leadership. You will have excellent attention to detail, expert time management and be able to adapt to changing priorities as needed. You will have weekly meetings with the Security Director and Head of Customer Service Experience; outside of this you will be expected to work autonomously, deliver to deadlines and provide effective updates to relevant parties.

Whilst experience in a luxury retailer isn’t essential, you will have strong knowledge of the luxury and security landscape; you will be able to demonstrate your understanding of brands, hierarchies and your ability to work at pace within a commercial business. You will have experience in managing travel arrangements, for both a solo traveller and a team.

You will also:

  • Be tenacious, professional and act with discretion.
  • Have impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be a problem solver, confident in presenting solutions to resolve issues.
  • Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft systems (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Be proactive with a strong work ethic.

Please note, this is an on-site role, requiring presence in Knightsbridge five days per week (Monday – Friday).
