Production Assistant

We are recruiting for a Production Assistant to join our Studio Team, based out of City Road.

About the Role

As a Production Assistant you will play a critical role in the smooth operation of Studio production process. You will be a key point of contact for all Studio teams including Photography, Styling, Stock, Copy and Post-Production and will coordinate the rapid flow of product through the studio, to deliver high quality imagery for Harrods.com.

You will be joining a team of three other Assistants and reporting into the Production Lead. The core responsibility of your role is to ensure that products flowing through the studio are scheduled efficiently and daily targets and Studio SLAs are met.

Your morning will be spent ensuring that the onset teams have everything they need for the day, assessing the Production backlog following the daily delivery and creating streamlined shoot lists that align with business priorities. You will work closely with the in-studio teams to ensure that your product is scheduled efficiently, proactively troubleshooting as you go. In the afternoon you will physically pull the products on your shoot lists, ensuring that they are handed over to the correct team and put in the correct place. Throughout the day you will promptly respond to queries from the Studio on-set teams as well as those from the wider business, such as Trade and Buying.

Your responsibilities will also include:

• Coordinating and overseeing deliveries for concession brands and brand-provided product / imagery.
• Overseeing fast turnaround product, brand launches and priorities to ensure images and copy are completed before being returned at the scheduled time.
• Working with the on-set teams to ensure that product is handled with care and daily targets are met.
• Providing accurate reporting of daily and weekly production volumes.
• Supporting the wider Studio and Creative Operations team as and when required.

About You

The ideal candidate will be flexible, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to learn. Past experience using Excel is beneficial but not essential. You will be proactive with a solutions-based outlook. You will be happy to work at a laptop, looking at data sets and planning shoot schedules efficiently, whilst also moving around the studio handling product, answering team queries and troubleshooting.

You will be an excellent relationship builder and will communicate effectively with the Studio team as well as other internal and external stakeholders. From your work experience or studies, you will be used to working at pace to deliver to key deadlines and SLAs – keeping calm under pressure and collaborating effectively within a team.
