The Social Media Executive will be responsible for engaging with and embeding social media across teams within the business to give a 360 view of the brand; telling the right story, on the right channel, at the right time. On hand to coordinate and execute the smooth running of day-to-day activities across social, the Social Media Executive will also support with the development and implementation of growth and engagement tactics to build content engagement and create participation and two-way conversations.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Ownership of the social content calendars; planning and scheduling content across channels, deciding what is published, on what channels and when.
  • Consulting with key stakeholders to ensure cohesion with marketing, trade and editorial calendars and timelines.
  • Generate content ideas for editorial stories and social activations.
  • Brief stories, assets and any ad-hoc requests to our creative team as appropriate.
  • Prepare monthly social media performance reports, analysing data and metrics providing insight for social media activity/campaign results.
  • Use these insights to generate learnings for future campaigns, sharing actionable reccomendations to shape future activity.

  • This role could require occasional out of hours work as-and-when the business requires

Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

  • Execute social strategy and campaigns across all active social media and networking platforms, creating narrative based storytelling.
  • Build content engagement across all social media channels, with consideration for brand vision and commercial goals
  • Drive growth of social fan bases interest in Harrods and traffic to .com

Personal Profile

  • A keen eye for best in class and flawless exection with demonstrated ability to execute on time
  • Experience in Chinese Social Media Platforms and/or Mandarin speaking highly advtangeous
  • Self-motivated self-starter who has a flexible approach
  • Thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to last minute requests
  • Detailed orientated with thorough understanding of analytics and how this can be used to track and enhance performance
  • Familiarity with platforms for scheduling, reporting, publishing and analysing social media
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work across multiple teams
  • Passion for social networks and emerging technologies
