We are looking for an Art Director to join the Creative Content team here at Harrods on a 12 month fixed term basis. You will play a key role in maintaining and elevating our brand identity, bringing creative ideas to support products and campaigns.
About the Role
As one of our Art Directors, you will be working closely with our Creative teams to produce visually stunning assets across a variety of owned channels. Reporting directly to the Head of Creative, this role works across a variety of stakeholders to bring projects to life across the different Harrods Beauty and H Beauty channels, supported by a team of direct reports.
You will have the opportunity and scope to conceptualise ideas from different areas of our business, taking concepts from ideation to execution. You will be creating content across a full spectrum of media for @harrodsbeauty social accounts including paid social, .com and Harrods Magazine. From campaigns and marketing moments to BAU, you will be comfortable reacting to engagement, as well as marketing strategies and direction.
A typical day in this role looks like:
- Developing concepts and Ideas to align with the needs of different business areas, such as new products or seasonal campaigns.
- Identifying how to respond to briefs in a way that will resonate most with the intended audience.
- Mentoring, guiding and empowering the Creative Lead and Creative Assistant team that report into you.
- Planning and coordinating the execution of different projects - being comfortable using different platforms to plot content and assets for publication.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with our Partnerships, Photography and Styling teams and supporting in post-production.
About You
As the Art Director, you will have an excellent understanding of branding, brand consistency and brand identity to delivery high quality creative assets. You will be genuinely passionate about attracting, nurturing and developing colleagues and effectively leading through change. You will be resilient, tenacious and genuinely open to development feedback, continually adapting your style to get the best outcomes for your people, customers and for the business.
You will have the awareness of key creative trends in the industry as a whole, including print and digital. Strong collaboration is key to be able to build relationships with stakeholders across the Harrods network; delivering against the requirements of multiple areas of our business. You will have the confidence and conviction in execution of photoshoots and videos, as well as feedback and direction in post-production.
You will also:
- Have financial knowledge and mindfulness around costing and budgets.
- Have experience in managing a small team.
- Have experience and confidence presenting creative decks and executions to wider stakeholders up to Director level.
- Have experience of working with production teams to work around strict deadlines and budgets.
- Be proficient in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign a bonus.
- Have a large portfolio of photography and styling contacts.
