We are looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Assistant Manager dedicated to the .com operation to join our Distribution Centre in Thatcham. Our Assistant Manager will play an integral role in the delivery of our online day to day operations for our distribution centre, we work together, and we win together in bringing moments of magic to our customers.

This position works varied shifts between 7am-11pm Monday to Sunday and with regular weekend work.

About You

You will be an experienced people manager accustomed to ensuring delivery of team KPI’s, objective and operational standards for Health & Safety, compliance and working practises. You will be fully conversant with using Kronos/Workday time and people management tools and our Supply chain system, SAP. You’ll be an ambassador for busines improvement, regularly reviewing procedures for improvements in efficiency and working practices and ensure that any recommendations are measured and implemented in conjunction with the Manager. You will ultimately ensure that every facet of the .com operation is carried out successfully and in line with expectations.

What to expect

As an Assistant Manager you will manage a team in the efficient and smooth onward flow of goods through the supply chain specifically for our .com distribution, providing the level of service excellence that Harrods is renowned for. To deputise in the Manager’s absence, you should be a role model for your team and ensure Harrods standards are being met during every shift. 

You will support your Manager in the day to day running of the department ensuring that all KPI’s, objectives and customer expectations are met.  The Assistant Manager should act as a role model for the rest of the team and actively promote and maintain Harrods standards and deputise for the Manager in their absence. This role will be a key people manager, balancing operational delivery with effective development of the individuals in your team.
