As a high-quality service orientated venue, Harrods prides itself with giving guests a great night out. As a Bartender, you’ll will contribute to their experience by being friendly, bubbly, and helpful with all guests and other members of staff. Warm, welcoming service is the perfect complement to wonderful beverage and make a good representation of yourself and the company.  By having a strong knowledge of the food menus and table plans, you’ll be confident to assist customer on all types of drink choices, paying attention to their tastes, profiles and glass choice. You’ll also be confident using tills including processing payments for beverage, food and merchandise.

Leadership

  • Demonstrate effective management by flexing between coaching and directive leadership as appropriate.
  • Responsible for cascading corporate and local communications to the team Conducting  daily / weekly staff briefings communicating sales incentives and general up to date information regarding the restaurant
  • Responsible for feeding back to the Operations Team in regards to staff, quality, services & operational issues, and incident through daily incident log
  • Actively develop internal talent and support the Directorate succession plan.
  • Plan and manage team rotas, overtime and holidays ensuring that the department is effectively resourced
  • Responsible for the communication to the team of expected standards and targets; monitor and address any concerns in line with company procedures.

Sales & Profit

  • Use all available tools to analyse sales performance weekly and monthly; review and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Actively monitor competitor activity and react accordingly by implementing commercially sound activities that will positively impact on sales
  • Accountability for the full P&L for your area of responsibility, working to ensure budgets are met and profits are maximised
  • Flex & manage payroll according to trade levels & budgeted pay to sales

Service & Standards

  • Implement the restaurant sales and service strategy within own area of responsibility; implement identified ways to enhance customer’s experience.
  • Ensure that all “on boarding” and new recruitment is managed effectively and according to company standards and procedures. Being responsible for final sign-off and completion of induction process within outlet.
  • Accountable for owning and driving own area to exceed business KPIs.
  • Own and monitor the department’s service results (NPS & Guest Shop) & create impactful action plans
