Multi Service Gang Operative

We are looking for a Multi Service Gang Operative to join our Store Operations team at Harrods.

About the Role

As a Multi Service Gang Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the TSD Department. You will be accountable for maintaining the seamless operation with Trevor Square ensuring that all contractor deliveries and waste collections move in and out of store with no negative impact on our distribution operation or our neighbours.

You will be able to manage time slots efficiently to reduce vehicle dwell time whilst ensuring that materials are stored in agreed areas or immediately taken to site. You will assist in storing contractor materials and rubbish within agreed areas until disposed of. You will be accountable for upholding the company policy and procedures whilst ensuring that contractors are also abiding by them.

You will also:

• Process daily checks on the roof and ensure that drains and gullies are clear of blockers
• Sweep excess water from the roof to mitigate flooding on lower levels of internally paying particular attention to the Contractors Welfare Facilities
• Assist with movement of fixtures around the business
• Collect and deliver parcels from the courier desk and distribute accordingly

This role will require heavy lifting and may involve working at height.

About You

The successful Multi Service Gang Operative will have the flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities, and have great attention to detail. You will have the willingness to learn and adapt, and will have the ability to prioritise tasks in response to needs of the business. You will ideally have a Driver’s licence to be able to assist with easing congestion.
