Store Operations is looking for a Multi-Service Gang (MSG) Team Leader who will support Senior Management by leading a team in an efficient and productive manner. Your contributions to the Knightsbridge operations within this role will directly impact the service the business offers through the wider remit of harrods.com and most importantly help to strive to exceed customer expectations.
About the Role
As the Multi-Service Gang Team Leader, you will manage the MSG in all aspects of their day-to-day duties. You will manage the weekly Rota ensuring that adequate MSG cover is in place at all times and ensuring that job sheets that are completed by either the Team Leader or Duty Manager must be organized into priority order and completed within the time frame given.
You will regularly review procedures for improvements in efficiency and working practices, make any recommendations to the Trevor Square and MSG Duty Manager as well as ensure that all team members are appropriately introduced and inducted into the department. You will be giving appropriate support and relevant coaching and training to enable the team to contribute to the overall team performance.
You will maintain high levels of Health and Safety awareness and report any areas of concern to the Line Manager immediately, and will have a proactive approach to getting things done, driving tasks through to completion to deliver what has been promised.
This role will require heavy lifting and may involve working at height.
About You
The successful Multi-Service Gang Team Leader will have a willingness to learn and adapt, while maintaining a high level of energy in a pressurized department. You will have the flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities, and have a great attention to detail which will be evident through paperwork completed and organisation of MSGs.
You will also:
- Be able to monitor the output and prioritise tasks in response to the demands of the business
- Be confident in developing and maintaining positive working relationships
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Have excellent time-management skills and the ability and willingness to multi-task
- Be able to liaise at all levels under pressure
- Have good PC literacy
- Have a strong customer service focus, when dealing with both internal and external parties
- Be willing to work flexible hours/days and demonstrate an ability to adapt to the changing demands of the role
