We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join our highly experienced Payroll team here at Harrods. This newly created role is an exciting opportunity, providing exposure across the start to finish payroll process.

About the Role

Our Payroll Administrators provide an efficient and professional payroll service. Payroll Administrators attend regular HR and Finance team meetings, support the business with payroll queries and develop and maintain relationships with managers and colleagues around the business.

Payroll Administrators also take ownership of running the monthly checklist to ensure all aspects of the payroll are completed, updating this in line with current audit and legislation requirements. This role has responsibility for fully reconciling and processing the pension pay. Responsibilities also include recording payroll processes (including overpayments, advances and late paperwork), calculating net payments, and interface testing and amendments.

About You

We are looking for an organised team player with excellent attention to detail to join our Payroll team. As a Payroll Administrator, you will have an adaptable and flexible approach, with the emphasis of the role being on team working and self-management of responsibilities.

You’ll also:

  • Have experience working in an in-house payroll environment
  • Have good knowledge of tax, National Insurance and statutory payments
  • Have experience calculating manual payments
  • Be competent using Microsoft Excel (ideally with pivots, VLOOKUPS and macros)
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels across the business
