Payroll Assistant Manager

The purpose of the role is to manage the day to day running of the department ensuring all payrolls are being processed in an accurate and timely manner whilst complying with all statutory and audit requirements. Ensuring that a first-class service is provided to all employees and ensure the management of the payroll functions are effective and efficient by introducing better ways of working and enhancing the user experience.

About You

We are looking for an experienced payroll professional, with significant experience at a senior/managerial level. You are therefore expected to have excellent knowledge of payroll, with in-depth knowledge of tax, national insurance, pensions, statutory payments, and current UK legislation including National Minimum Wage, gender pay gap, RTI. You must have prior experience with Workday and Resourcelink, as well as working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. Familiarity with RRS/Cognos reporting would be advantageous.

The role requires a CIPP Management Diploma or another recognised payroll qualification to demonstrate a broad range of managerial knowledge and skills including operations management, project management, marketing principles and budget controls.
