Senior Internal Communications Manager

The purpose of this role is to lead and execute the internal communications strategy for Harrods.  You will work directly with colleagues within the employee experience and internal communications team as well as stakeholders from across the organisation to drive connection, engagement and belonging through carefully considered and well-articulated communications.  You will partner closely with HR Business partners, our Corporate Communications team, and the senior leadership teams in all divisions to create innovative and compelling employee communications both centrally and locally, from ideation through to flawless execution.  You will own crafting, delivering, and maintaining engaging content via multiple channels.

In this role, you will provide strategic counsel and advice to leaders across the business and will be the “go to” person and entry point to the communications function for all communications requirements and campaigns.  You will be a talented writer and credible communications expert as will have responsibility for advising senior leadership on the best way to achieve business, engagement and change outcomes through effective communications, with colleagues across the organisation.

About you

You’ll have significant experience in an internal communications role within a large organization. You’ll have experience of developing internal communications strategies to support organizational change and developing a range of communications channels, including online and digital platforms. You’ll have strong project and campaign management skills, including an ability to use insight and evaluation techniques to improve outcomes and drive improvement. Strong experience of change management and change communications is essential, as is stakeholder management, first class project management and writing skills.

More specifically, we’re looking for someone:

• Very strong written and verbal communications skills combined with an attention to detail.
• Experienced presenter and facilitator, comfortable and credible in front of the most senior stakeholders.
• Technically competent with knowledge of SharePoint, email marketing tools, vlogs, podcasts etc.  Previous experience of being the intranet owner and channel manager.
• Strategic communications business partnering within a large organisation.
• Familiar with writing C-suite communications and providing materials, scripts. guidance etc.
