About you

You are an experienced Strategic Research Manager who has the ability to persuade and influence key stakeholders. You are confident with presenting to people from all areas of the business and you are able to easily translate data into useful insight to stakeholder which overall makes an impact on their business strategies. You are passionate about supporting and developing a team and you are innovative.

What to expect

The Strategic Research Manager is responsible for the development and management of qualitative and quantitative customer research projects. They will also be working on wider market research projects, using primary market research (non-customer) and secondary market data (e.g. Euromonitor). They will be finalising research findings (independently or in collaboration with agencies if applicable) and translating findings into compelling insights to inform and influence stakeholder decision making and strategy. The Strategic Research Manager will also be responsible for the training and development of their direct report, a Strategic Research Executive.

The role has people management responsibility for one Strategic Research Executive. Training and developing the executive will also be a priority of yours to ensure that they are being upskilled in their role.

What is important?

The Strategic Research Manager must have a market research background with experience in managing the full research project life cycle from writing RFPs and evaluating proposals, to setting up the projects and manage it until debrief. Expert knowledge of qualitative research techniques and methodologies gained through either agency or client-side experiences is essential. Firsthand qualitative fieldwork experience is a plus.
