Harrods Publishing & Creative is looking for a talented and well-organised sub-editor to join its team.

The sub-editor will be responsible for ensuring editorial accuracy and house style across a portfolio of print magazines, as well as on a variety of marketing communications ranging from brand emails to packaging.

Key responsibilities:

•             Ensuring copy is grammatically correct and adheres to our house style

•             Fact-checking copy

•             Sub-editing copy – editing/rewriting/fitting copy onto layout

•             Writing strong headlines, standfirsts, captions and pull quotes

•             Proofreading

•             Taking in amends and discussing any issues with the chief sub-editor

•             Liaising with other departments, including art, fashion and production

•             Prioritising workload and working to tight deadlines

•             Proofreading cromalins and printer proofs

Experience in luxury lifestyle magazines or a luxury retail editing environment would be an advantage.
