Transport Loader 

Our Transport team at our Thatcham Distribution Centre are now looking for a Part-time (2 days) Transport Loader to provide an efficient loading and unloading service. 

About the Role 

The loader is responsible for loading and unloading Harrods vehicles, ensuring that all goods are systematically and physically loaded onto the right vehicle to provide the smooth onward flow of goods through the supply chain. As well as, providing the level of service excellence that Harrods is renowned for by promptly loading and unloading Trunking vehicles. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Responsible for loading and offloading Harrods and third-party delivery vehicles, safely 

• Ensure all loads are secured correctly, with bars and ratchet straps 

• When loading heavy pallets, ensure that the weight is evenly distributed across the axles 

• Maintain high levels of Health and Safety awareness and report any areas of concern to the Line Manager immediately 

• Respond to email queries from both internal and external customers, where necessary 

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.
