The Assistant Fulfilment Manager (AFM) will support the Fulfilment Manager (FM) with all aspects of the fulfilment process.

They will alongside the FM have the responsibility of ensuring the fulfilment of customer orders from the point that the sales order has been raised to delivery to the customer. The AFM, through their team, will deliver a level of service that exceeds the customer’s expectation as well as manage vendor performance. They will be an expert in the furniture processes and be able to ensure that all financial controls are executed to protect the company.

About the role

As an Assistant Fulfilment Manager, you will lead a team of two Clerks in addition to managing vendors, order processing and internal relationships. This is a varied, dynamic role with a range of tasks including:

  • Order management of overseas and domestic deliveries
  • Ensuring orders are acknowledged within 48 hours and the customer is updated throughout the order process
  • Inform all relevant parties of delays, taking the appropriate action to minimise this
  • Manage all orders from the Vendor side, ensuring a PO has been generated within 24 hours
  • Work with the FM and buyer to establish SLA for each vendor and produce management reports to measure compliance
  • Use the Furniture Deposit Ledger to identify financial irregularities
  • Working with the FM & Merchandise Planner produce a sales forecast on a weekly basis and take corrective action where shortfalls to budget are identified

About you

The successful candidate have:

  • Good PC literacy (word, Excel, and preferably SAP)
  • Strong customer service focus when dealing with internal and external parties.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills as well as people management experience
  • Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Good attention to detail which will be evident through paperwork completed and organisation of department.
  • Strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to Harrods values. Ability to perform duties with minimum supervision and guidance.
