We are recruiting for a Buyer to lead our Menswear Superbrands and International Designer Team, to support the Buying Manager in delivering their strategic vision to commercially drive the business across all channels (store, online, airports and international ventures) as well as both operational models (own bought and concession). This role is a fixed term contract until November 2026.

About the Role

This role joins a motivated team in our Menswear division, an exciting and varied remit including brands such as Amiri, Rick Owens, Lemaire. As the Buyer for Menswear Superbrands and International Designer, you will lead and inspire your team of Assistant Buyer and Buyers Assistants, who will support you in bringing the departments strategy to life. You will proactively manage the brand development and product selection for the category, securing the best in class product offering.  

Leading said strategy, you will work cross functionally with external brands and partners as well as our internal teams across retail, visual merchandising and marketing. From capsule collections and brand exclusives to unique pop ups, you will be accountable for brand meetings, product selection, end to end contract negotiation and the renewal process for our own bought and concession brands. 

This role will include both domestic and international travel.  

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

About You

We are looking for someone who has proven category experience within the Menswear category, be it within a multiband store or standalone brand. You will be commercially aware and have a wealth of experience with our brand partners. As an inspiring leader, you will be able to bring your people on the journey whilst identifying key opportunities to drive the business forward.

The ideal candidate will also be:

  • Develop and maintain strong cross-channel brand relationships 
  • Manage the end-to-end contract negotiation, on-boarding and renewal process with all concession brands for both store and online 
  • Negotiate terms with brands including trading terms, online terms, RTVs, marketing spend, delivery, exclusivity, etc
  • Work closely with different Marketing partners across the business to ensure all relevant information relating to brands and products is communicated to customers
  • Work closely with Merchandising to plan sales, stocks, margins and space densities for the department
