We are seeking a talented Developer to support the Email Design Team in coding the business as usual (BAU), brand mailers and triggered emails, as well as any ad-hoc email briefs that are submitted.

About The Role

As an Email Developer you will specialise in building HTML emails ready for deployment through SAP Marketing Cloud (SMC) using reusable blocks, often creating multiple dynamic versions. Reporting in to the Lead Email Designer, the ideal candidate will specialise in email HTML/CSS coding, ensuring our responsive templates are fully optimised, including for mobile and dark mode, and feel confident trouble shooting. They will also ensure they keep up to date on email best practices and latest developments and collaborate with the email design team to build new templates, potentially including interactive elements with suitable fallbacks for main clients.

About You

The ideal candidate will be customer focused and flexible to the needs of the team. They will have excellent planning and organisation skills, as well as keeping up to date and aware of improvements in code and also eager to learn and develop new skills. They will work on multiple projects at the same time, have excellent communication skills and have the ability to deliver high quality work to tight timescales.

You will also possess:

  • Experience with triggered emails including setting up dynamic content using JSON tags and handlebars
  • An excellent understanding of email client constraints, browsers and accessibility guidelines
  • Passionate about delivering creative solutions that deliver for both the user and the business
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • The ideal candidate has experience working in luxury e-commerce businesses
  • Design experience would be a bonus but not essential
