As the Merchandising Development Manager, you’ll lead all data projects and delivery across buying and merchandising, manage the merchandise data and represent the teams on all their key projects with the scope to expand across all relevant business data. You’ll act as a business lead for all relevant Buying & Merchandising systems, representing business requirements while interacting with IT. You’ll ensure process governance around Harrods’ product data model, maintaining best practice at all times, considering wider business implications of any data changes.

You’ll develop insights and strategic perspectives on new opportunities, driving the analyses, presenting the results, and collaborating with teams to develop action plans. You’ll shape corporate merchandising strategy into specific objectives, translating the senior leadership’s vision into deliverable programmes of work. In this role, you’ll develop clearly defined commercial business cases and communicate insights on the impact of competitive industry movements in this area.

About you

You’ll have proven record withing buying or merchandising or data / process team at a senior level. With previous experience of developing new systems or cross-team processes preferential. You’ll have a great knowledge of existing buying and merchandising systems within Harrods.

More specifically, we’re looking for someone with:

  • High level of organisation skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Experience of managing a team preferential.
  • Commercial skills and inquisitive, analytical mind.
  • Good communicator across all levels of the business.
