We are looking for an experienced Psychotherapist at Harrods, to join our Corporate Health Service. Please note, this is a part-time role, 2 days per week.

About us

We are lucky enough to have an in-house Corporate Health function. We recognise the importance of our colleagues wellbeing- both mental and physical and with this in mind are looking for a second Psychotherapist to join our lovely team.

About you

As a psychotherapist within Harrods, your role will be to look after all Harrods colleagues. You will be experienced in cognitive behavioural therapy, psychoanalytic and psychodynamic therapies as well as humanistic integrative psychotherapy.

Your day-to-day role as a psychotherapist at Harrods will look like:

  • You will conduct a series of sessions with employees - to assess need, build trust and explore issues.
  • Encourage them to talk about and explore their feelings, attitudes and behaviours
  • Confidently run group sessions with people undergoing therapy in a clinical setting.
  • Evaluate therapy sessions and outcomes and write reports to head of treatment service conduct group sessions in a training capacity for managers and mental health advocates within Harrods.
  • Keep abreast of developments in theory and research attend continuing personal development activities and clinical supervision sessions.
  • Network within the health professionals within the Corporate Health and other potential business areas to promote health and involve in preventive activities.

As an experienced Psychotherapist, you will have the following attributes:

  • Self-awareness, sensitivity and empathy
  • A broad-minded, non-judgemental attitude and a respect for others
  • Good verbal and written communication and presentations skills
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and also an awareness of its limitations
  • A belief in people's inherent ability to change and develop
  • A sense of humour and an energetic and positive approach
  • An understanding of equality and diversity issues
  • Confidence to explore difficult and painful aspects of a patient's life.
