Based within the Knightsbridge store, working within the Harrods Retail Systems Services (RSS) Team, our RSS Engineers are responsible for support, overall service and installation of all aspects of our EPOS Systems. The RSS Team provide the business with support 7 days a week, through a 4-on 4-off shift pattern, supporting day-to-day operational activities through both proactive and reactive support.

Our RSS Team are key to ensuring we maintain the highest standards for our retail and restaurant operations, from supporting and installing our EPOS systems and therefore, any successful candidate will have exposure to some of our most critical business systems and will take pride in understanding and supporting them.

This is a hands on, technical role, in a fast paced and busy environment; key daily activities include monitoring our systems for availability, tracking ticket queues for support issues, investigating and troubleshooting incidents and building & configuring new EPOS & related systems.  Our RSS Engineers also own the service they provide and are empowered to drive initiatives that identify proactive, preventative measures which will optimise and continuously improve system reliability and / or the service they deliver.

Our RSS Team collaborate with a variety of different teams across the Harrods business, including the wider IT Team, Retail, Restaurants, Engineering & Facilities, plus a range of third-party technology partners, to ensure seamless service & project delivery. Excellent attention to detail with good communication skills are essential in ensuring our high standards are maintained and that we continue to deliver a robust & reliable service for our customers and the Harrods business

About You

You will have prior experience with working on EPOS systems and related technologies, as well as experience with Windows 10. Excellent customer service skills and communication skills are required for this position. You will have working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems and standards. You will have the ability to operate the systems and tools required to carry our your role. The ability to problem solve, multi-task and work well under pressure are key, self-motivation and time management are essential skills, and any successful candidate can look forward to having real input into improving systems and processes that drive Harrods forward.
