SAP Analyst (CAR)

Harrods has implemented SAP CAR (Customer Activity Repository), which is becoming a key part of the backbone of the SAP Retail solution.

This is an exciting opportunity to support CAR as a Subject Matter Expert and actively assist with expanding the remit of CAR as we implement additional modular functionality such as Unified Demand Forecast, Merchandise Planning and integration with other SAP modules such as BW/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud.

About the role

The SAP Analyst position will report directly to a SAP Lead Analyst within the SAP IT function. The role will be contribute to the overall design, configuration and day-to-day support of SAP CAR and other SAP modules.  They will participate in the delivery of business change initiatives by designing, developing, maintaining and supporting the solution, always adhering to industry best practice whilst working to a common application strategy to ensure SAP functions run efficiently and effectively.

Within the role they will work with the SAP Teams in Customer, Supply Chain, Analytics, Data and Integration domains as well as business stake holders and SAP themselves.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have a few years’ experience working with CAR (Customer Activity Repository) Additionally,  SAP retail logistics experience, as well experience with POS DTA (Data Transfer and Audit) is a requirement for the role. Further to this, experience in UDF (unified Demand Forecast) , MM (materials management), SD (Sales and distribution management) and MPR (Merchandise Planning for retail) is extremely desirable.

You will have experience managing project lifecycles, as well as operating in a support and development environment promoting best practice.

• Contribute to financial and operational planning
• Analysis and Design of SAP solutions after consultation with business to meet agreed requirements
• Testing of SAP configuration and programs
• Specification of SAP programs
• Deliver solutions on time, on budget to agreed quality criteria, developing the SAP roadmap to support Harrods business objectives.
• Ownership of effective problem management and issue resolution, if unable to resolve then escalating to the correct channels.
• Assist in the delivery of the overall SAP landscape
• Actively being involved with the broader IT and SAP community to ensure Harrods is up to date with industry trends and initiatives
• Good stakeholder manager and consultant experience
