Senior Projects & Transformation Manager (Retail)

We are seeking a strong, dynamic, and fresh thinking Senior Retail Project & Transformation Manager who will be accountable for developing and leading several key Retail projects under a programme of works. Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, the role holder will ensure the successful delivery of projects in both a collaborative and structured way. The role holder will have extensive experience of ensuring assigned projects deliver the required outcomes within the defined quality, time, and cost constraints.

The role will provide hands on project management expertise and leadership to internal and external teams from a variety of business disciplines to deliver change that transforms our retail business by reducing unnecessary costs and driving greater efficiencies by delivering smarter ways of operating. This will not only involve the production of detailed plans and project documentation but also continual leadership of the project teams through the provision of best practice, support, and guidance.

About you

A key requirement of the role holder is to have extensive knowledge of the Retail Industry and Retail Operations. You will be accountable for ensuring the human aspects of change are embedded in in a manner that guarantees there is a longevity in the benefits being delivered through the Transformational projects. The role of the Senior Project & Transformation Manager requires outstanding:

• Leadership: Day-to-day management of the Retail Projects team. Drive team’s performance, supports their growth and development. Author and deliverer of regular updates/presentations to stakeholders.
• Engagement: Setup and chair an effective governance structures and meeting schedule with stakeholders. Facilitate the collaboration and contribution of stakeholders in a project ‘working group’ to ensure end-to-end engagement, the ownership of options and recommendations and that there is appropriate accountability for decisions made.
• Controls: Demonstrate control of all related projects assessing and monitoring project resource demands for the avoidance and resolution of clashes involving resources, staff, projects and prioritisation. Monitor costs, timescales and resources used. Prepare and maintain project documentation, project plans and track activities against the plans.
