About You

You will have had practical experience as a Visual/Graphic Designer, and have skills to lead a team. You have excellent attention to detail and take pride in what you do. You will be confident in managing a team, leading them and mentoring them to succeed.You have a strong creative background and a continued awareness of ever changing trends in design and high end retail enviroment. You will have excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills as you will be liaising with the Sign Studio Manager, Retail, Buying, and keystakeholders throughout the business.

What to Expect

You will be overseeing our Sign Studio team areas - including ticketing, vinyl production, artworkers/designers and special projects that crop up. Reporting to the Sign Studio Manager within the Creative/Visual Directorate, the Sign Studio Team Leader will be responsible whilst managing the sign studio Team to develop new creative design concepts for internal promotion communication, POS/Signage, VM sites, and CRM/Navigation. To assist as needed on Ticketing and Vinyl Graphics production to ensure that all final output reflects the core brand values of both Harrods Visual and Creative strategy.Staying ahead of expectations, you will take pride in your work by conducting competitor research in order to surprise and delight our customers.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Attributes

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, and Indesign especially) - Additionally advantageous: Understanding of SketchUp, HTML and Dreamweaver, as well as Illustration skills
  • Excellent layout skills
  • To successfully understand a brief in order to interpret business needs and develop a concept to suit its purpose
  • To think creatively to solve the problem the overall brief proposes; whilst being innovative within constraints of cost and time (Time management and prioritisation skills)
  • Choosing the most suitable style and techniques based on the briefand brand guidelines
  • A strong eye for detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, and can multi-task
  • Be able to professionally present finalised concepts to high-level management and meet to discuss brief objectives and requirements of the job.
  • The initiative to gather information and data through research if needed
