Our Knightsbridge based Kitchens Stock team are now looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to support the Stock function with the day to day running of the department.

About the Role


The Assistant Manager will be responsible and accountable for the day to day running of a Stock Operations team and entire stock flow process within the Kitchens division, ensuring that all stock management KPIs and objectives are met and controlling an efficient replenishment operation through stock file accuracy and commercial awareness. You will build and maintain effective relationships with all relevant support functions and act as a role model for the rest of the team.


You will also be responsible for duties including:

  • Ensuring deliveries are processed in a timely manner and delivery checks are completed accurately
  • Ensuring re-ticketing is completed regularly to ensure stock availability for the shop floor.
  • Regularly resolving delivery errors, stock-file discrepancies and stock audits.
  • Support the achievement of wastage targets through proactively reviewing stock levels and making adjustments where necessary
  • Ensuring that standards are being reviewed regularly and activities are conducted to ensure the continual development of all members of the team. This will include documented performance monitoring, coaching and development of the team as well as conducting quarterly and annual performance reviews and onboarding.
  • Issuing and solve stock audits in a timely manner to resolve stock-related discrepancies, keeping the Lead Divisional Stock Operations Manager informed of outstanding issues.
  • Investigating and resolving negatives, Out of Stocks (OOS) where applicable and invalid corrections.

Please note that this is a fixed term contract until 28th April 2025

About You


You will have good relationship building skills and be able to interact with both internal stakeholders and external customers. You will be a confident communicator who can lead and support the existing stock operations team in driving sleek and efficient working processes. You will be a valuable team player who thrives on getting the job done together and sharing the victory of meeting all stock targets with the rest of your team.

You’ll also have:

  • Strong IT skills, being especially proficient in MS Office and ideally have an understanding of SAP and Workday (or similar systems)
  • Experience of working flexible hours/days and demonstrate the ability to adapt to the changing demands of the role.
  • High levels of emotional intelligence and self-awareness and ability to flex your style.
  • Some knowledge or experience working with a high volume food based business – whether retail or hospitality
