Digital Signage and Audio Specialist

You will be working within the Harrods Digital Technology Digital Signage Team responsible for support and overall service and Design of all Audio/Video systems across the Harrods Ltd locations which include locations, Knightsbridge, Heathrow, Milton Keynes, Lakeside, Edinburgh and Bristol at the present time.

As a Audio Specialist, you will assist in supporting all day-to-day operational activities while working hands on as part of the team. Working closely with the other functions within Digital Technology, you will support the effective delivery of new functionality and projects.

The Digital Signage & Audio Team collaborate with a variety of different teams across the Harrods business, including the wider IT function, engineering, electrical, maintenance plus a range of third-party technology partners to ensure seamless service. Good attention to detail and communication skills are important so that you can maintain high standards in delivering a robust & reliable service for our customers and the Harrods business.

At all times you will need to ensure that regular monitoring takes place and that any performance implications are considered and that you detect problems at the earliest opportunity. You will support in rectifying faults as quickly as possible and also identify proactive measures that can enable the team to preventatively optimise and continuously improve the solutions.

There is a need to keep calm under pressure and work at pace so that you can balance the operational elements of the role whilst looking ahead.

About Us

The IT Department at Harrods provide support for all electronic communications systems within our luxury store in Knightsbridge, the Hammersmith Head Office and all other subsidiaries of the Harrods Group through both internal and external support teams.

About You

You’ll have hands On knowledge of configuring and managing Audio Equipment, Speakers, Amplifiers and Controllers. You’ll have demonstrable experience of configuring and managing Windows, and Mac OS. You’ll have experience with Audio Over IP (Dante, Ravenna) , and Audio DSP systems (Yamaha, Crestron are preferred). You’ll have EASE Modelling & Audio design experience or equivalent.

You’ll have an understanding of Networks, Device Network configuration and troubleshooting. You’ll have experience Designing environments for Audio systems and Visual displays. You’ll have basic knowledge of professional media screens.
