To support the development of the categories under your control. To assist in the management of the cost base by delivering opportunities that drive costs out through strong negotiation, value engineering, strengthening supplier relationships to mitigate risk and improve performance. Manages all aspects of the sourcing lifecycle in support of Harrods’ strategic vision. Have some knowledge of Supplier Relationship Management processes.

Responsible for the procurement of goods and services in the Kitchen and Restaurants, Security, Finance and Travel categories. The role will cover strategic category management, delivery of short to long term cost improvements and supplier relationship management. Creating and Managing category plans. Some knowledge of the aforementioned categories would be useful.

The Category Manager will be expected to have strong stakeholder engagement and management capabilities as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.

About You

You’ll have previous experience in a Procurement Category Manager role ideally from a retail, or hospitality background, but we would consider a generalist. You’ll have Full tender life cycle management and experience of leading complex negotiations. You’ll have experience of leading and developing own or core project teams. In a previous role you will have used procurement software systems with demonstrable experience, e.g. Jaggaer. You’ll have strong stakeholder management experience, as well as extensive supplier management skills.
