The Opportunity

The partnership between Frantzén Group and Harrods is a monumental milestone in Harrods restaurant agenda. We are bringing Björn Frantzén’s signature cuisine to the UK for the first time while unveiling a state-of-the-art flagship restaurant within our Knightsbridge store.

We’re now looking for a Head Chef who has the breadth and depth of experience to help lead the Back of House operations of this exclusive partnership.

Reporting into the Senior Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine, the Sous Chefs will support in managing all aspects of the day to day operations of the main kitchen within the Frantzen space.

The Sous Chefs will be responsible for helping to lead the operational excellence of the business and the kitchen team in a manner that will ensure that all parties’ expected standards are maintained at all times delivering a world class restaurant experience.

About you

You will have strong and demonstrable experience of working at a Head Chef level within a leading world class and/or exceptional restaurant or hotel environment. You’ll be confident in leading the kitchen brigade to ensure correct and professional operations are always carried out, ensuring high levels of excellence and consistency always.

As the Head Chef, you will manage day to day kitchen administration, effective storage of products, food ordering, planning production and take steps to minimise wastage and be responsible for ensuring high standards of Health & Safety regulations are followed.

You will bring with you passion, enthusiasm, and knowledge of the food and drink industry.

You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and a good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels. You’ll be able to demonstrate effective leadership and management skills by coaching, inspiring and motivating the team.

About Frantzén Group

In 2008, Björn Frantzén opened his first restaurant, Frantzén in Stockholm, Sweden. The restaurant was awarded two stars in Guide Michelin after only two years in service, and its third star after six months in its current location. The Frantzén Group includes several establishments in Stockholm and is established internationally with three Michelin starred Zén in Singapore. In 2022 the group will establish 3 new restaurants internationally.
