The HR Operations Manager will act as the strategic leader for the HR Services team, who are responsible for  delivering a high quality, accurate and consistent service to the business which is centred on a Customer First strategy, measured against a balanced scorecard. The HR Operations Manager will also act as a senior manager and the number 2 for the Head of HR Operations, with the ability to lead on projects relating to HR systems, processes and all operational activity across all areas of the HR function.

The HR Operations Manager will develop strong relationships with their peers across the HR function and with business stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner in all HR processes.  They will ensure that leaders across the business are fully supported by the HR services team on both a reactive and pro-active basis.  They will own our Customer First strategy and contribute to the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and projects that support the broader People Strategy.

About You

We are looking for someone with prior experience of running a HR Shared Services team or HR Advisory Team, managing end-to-end HR processes and HR policies, with working knowledge of employment law. Experience of working with a HR system to improve service delivery and experience is a key requirement; Workday preferred.

You must have the ability to act as the deputy for the Head of HR Operations as required from time to time. You will be able to lead your own team, and effectively collaborate and lead senior members of the HR team within a project environment. We will for an understanding of SLA’s, KPI’s and Balanced Scorecards that accurately reflect service and delivery. You must be able to effectively plan and organise, managing a high volume of work accurately and to deadline.

The ability to develop good collaborative relationships with HR and key business stakeholders is key. You will be able to challenge the status quo and demonstrate the ability to make change happen. We are looking for an individual with a strong track record of delivering continuous improvement initiatives. You must have demonstrable empathy and cultural sensitivity and a high level of personal and professional integrity.
