Supply Chain Graduate
This vacancy has expired
We are thrilled to announce our Harrods Supply Chain Graduate programme is now open, offering a unique and insightful window for a talented individual to kickstart their career in the world of Supply Chain.
About the Role
You will embark on a transformative journey, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of the supply chain ecosystem. Within this ongoing development in your understanding, you will collaborate with seasoned professionals by engaging in challenging projects whilst receiving ongoing support to develop a well-rounded skill set.
The Supply Chain Graduate programme is comprised of a series of placements within both the Stock Operations and Supply Chain teams. It will run for 12 months from September 2024 and is split into 3 rotations: Retail, Supply Chain, and Distribution. You will be emersed into the complete life cycle of the Supply Chain function, beginning with how we receive our stock in our Thatcham Distribution Centre, right through to selling to our customers in our world-famous Knightsbridge store. You will gain practical on-the-job experience with the added exposure of working with the leadership team to support in the delivery of key projects.
Based primarily in Knightsbridge, you'll experience the heartbeat of our operations, with the added excitement of regular travel to our sites in Hammersmith and Thatcham, Berkshire (home of our distribution centre). The working hours for this role are variable, contingent upon your rotation, therefore you should anticipate being scheduled to work any five days within the Sunday to Saturday period and during any hours between 7am and 11pm.
This is suitable for you if you have graduated from university within the past 2 years. You will bring excellent communication skills, with strong team spirit and the ability to work under direction with independence. A keenness to network will be your asset as you embark on this exciting journey. A good understanding of supply chain and retail, coupled with insights into the economy and retail business, will set you apart.
You will have:
• A 2:1 degree or above (supply chain related degree preferred but not essential).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• PC literate, e.g. Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• A keen interest in the area of supply chain or luxury goods.
• Excellent time-management skills along with the ability and willingness to multi-task.
Harrods is one of the world’s leading luxury department stores and we’re becoming a destination for top designers, and the most sought-after brands from around the globe. Our combined mission is to make visiting our iconic Knightsbridge store one of the world’s most inspiring shopping experiences.
Our Promise to You
Help us make the impossible possible for our customers and we’ll do something remarkable for you. As well as offering a friendly environment to inspire your best work, we provide abundant opportunities and support to build an exceptional career across the varied specialisms of our business.
You’ll receive an excellent benefits package, including a company pension, flexible working, 25 days’ holiday, and your birthday off, up to 33% in-store discount (including across our food hall and restaurants) and a season ticket loan.
The advert will run from the 2nd February until 2nd March 2024. Your application will be reviewed after the 2nd March 2024. Following the evaluation of applications, prospective candidates who have been deemed successful will receive invitations to participate in a video interview, then further succession onto an in-person assessment centre. This event is scheduled to occur on Thursday, 11th April. We kindly request applicants to consider this date when submitting their applications.
While our job adverts outline the ideal qualities, skills, and prior experience for the role, we believe in the potential for growth and value individual strengths. If you do not meet every desired criteria but feel you have the skills and experience to thrive in this role as well as a genuine interest in working for Harrods and you can demonstrate an alignment with our values, we would encourage you to apply.
